Indonesia is an ideal country to produce quality bird’s nests. Indonesia is the world’s largest producer of bird’s nests, producing more than 80% of the world’s bird’s nests. Meanwhile, China is the largest consumer of bird’s nest, which reaches 80% of the total consumption of bird’s nest in the world, so that bird’s nest is suitable for bilateral trade between Indonesia and China.
Based on that data, Nutricell Emmersa Bioscience, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kementerian Pertanian Republik Indonesia) and the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health initiated an event to sign a Memorandum of Understanding regarding bilateral cooperation agreements in agriculture, including investment in bird’s nests and sustainable agriculture between Indonesian entrepreneurs and the People’s Republic of China at the Ritz Carlton Mega Kuningan Hotel, South Jakarta on Saturday, March 25 2023.
The event was attended by Dr. Ir. Nasrullah, Director General of Livestock and Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia who welcomed the bilateral cooperation with the hope that it can benefit both countries and can increase trade and investment in bird’s nests by guaranteeing traceability, quality and sustainability.
